Adrien Rabiot to Stay at Juventus, Amidst All Transfer Rumours

Adrien Rabiot to Stay at Juventus, Amidst All Transfer Rumours

French international Adrien Rabiot is reportedly not going to leave Serie-A giants Juventus in the January transfer window.

After spending time in the academies of Creteil, Manchester City, Pau FC, and Pole Espoirs, French midfielder Adrien Rabiot joined the youth set-up of Paris Saint-Germain.

The midfielder then graduated from the PSG academy and got promoted to the senior side. The Frenchman then joined Toulouse on loan to get more first-team opportunities. The midfielder returned back to PSG after the end of his successful loan deal. After his return, Rabiot slowly established himself as a starter in the PSG midfield.

The midfielder lifted eighteen major trophies with the French club which includes 5 Ligue 1 titles. Rabiot left Paris in 2019 and joined the Italian giants, Juventus. The midfielder has also represented France in international football. He was a part of the French squad that lifted the UEFA Nations League 2021.

Juventus Midfielder To Stay

Adrien Rabiot had a slow start to his Juventus career. The midfielder failed to consistently perform at the highest level in the first few seasons. He was then rumoured to leave Juventus and Manchester United in the last Summer transfer window.

A deal however never happened and Rabiot stayed in Turin. Since then the midfielder has been one of the best performers for Juventus this season. The midfielder has already scored five goals in all competitions.

However, transfer rumours never left him. He was most recently linked with a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window. But now, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the French international will stay in Turin.

In his daily column for CaughtOffside Fabrizo Romano said, “There have been fresh transfer rumours about Adrien Rabiot, but I’m absolutely not sure that he will leave Juventus in January,”

Adrien Rabiot’s contract with Juventus will expire at the end of the season. Juventus are currently struggling with financial issues. Earlier Rabiot refused manchester United’s decent proposal. So it is expected that Juventus might not be able to keep him beyond this season.

But as of now, he stays in Turin. This is a huge boost for Juventus who are currently struggling. Massimiliano Allegri’s side have won seven out of their first thirteen matches of the season. With twenty-five points, they are currently in the fifth position in the table.

Their performance in the European competition has been even poor. Juventus failed to even reach the next stage of the UEFA Champions League after losing five out of their six group-stage matches. Their main aim from the season is now to do well in the Europa League and finish in the top foyer of Serie-A.

Juventus will face Hellas Verona in their next match.
