Bollywood actress Payal Ghosh made the headlines recently after she sent a marriage proposal to Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami. The right-arm fast bowler is the leading wicket-taker for India in Cricket World Cups with 47 wickets to his credit.
After being impressed by Shami’s stellar performances in World Cups, Payal Ghosh decided to send a marriage proposal to him. Her tweet spread like wildfire on social media channels.
She wrote, “#Shami Tum apna English sudharlo, I’m ready to marry you’ followed by two laughing emojis.” The actress posted this on her X handle and wanted Mohammad Shami to improve his English before sending a marriage proposal to him.
While she has expressed her willingness to marry the Indian pacer, the latter hasn’t responded to the proposal yet. He is busy focusing on the ongoing edition of the ICC World Cup 2023.

Today, the actress again made the headlines after he posted an image of herself on Twitter with the caption that reads, “Dil Dooba Tere Pyaar Mein” followed by a black heart emoji. Meanwhile, a netizen wrote, ‘Mohammad Shami ke pyaar mein’, whereas another user wrote ‘Shami Bhai ke liye’.
It is worth mentioning here that Shami is also the leading wicket-taker for India in the ongoing World Cup 2023. Despite not playing the first four games, Shami made a sensational comeback in the next four games.
The right-arm fast bowler registered an impressive five-wicket haul against the likes of New Zealand and Sri Lanka respectively. Currently, he has taken 16 wickets in four games at a superb bowling average of 7. He will be looking forward to weaving the magic with the ball against the Netherlands. Indian Cricket Team will take on the Dutch cricket team on November 12 (Sunday) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
