Asia Cup 2022: India defeated Hong Kong on Wednesday to secure a spot in the Asia Cup’s Super 4 round. The Indian players took a break in the meantime and chose to go to the beach in Dubai as a team-building activity.
Squad members including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others relished their time at the beach. They were observed enjoying activities like surfing and canoeing, among others. Nearly all of the Indian players also played some beach volleyball.
They were playing beach volleyball, and it was clear they were having a great time. Arshdeep Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Virat Kohli were having fun participating in the sport. Everyone was grinning, which is a positive indicator of a positive work environment among the team.
It goes without saying that everyone needs a good balance in their lives, including players. Rest is essential for having good vibes before a challenging match, like Pakistan on Sunday. It’s lovely to watch the players embrace the moment and let themselves go. After all, having fun also fosters positivity and teamwork.

Many Indian players can be seen playing beach volleyball in the video that the BCCI shared. Despite the fact that beach volleyball is a team activity, many of the players also tried out kayaking and surfing.
Those who engaged in such solitary pursuits did so alone. Moreover, while kayaking, individuals like Rohit ventured further into areas of deep water. However, it should be noted that the Indian skipper was also clad in a life jacket.
“It was an off day. So Rahul sir decided for an outdoor activity. It was fun and relaxing. You can see around (pointing to others on the beach) that everyone is so happy and enjoying,” Chahal stated.

The right-arm spinner highlighted once more how united the Indian team is as a single cricket family. He noted that the experience is still rather new for some players. If that occurs more frequently, according to him, the team bonding also grows and persists.
It’s interesting to note that Dravid and the team management were spotted unwinding on the beach in comfortable recliners. They enjoyed themselves while watching the athletes engage in some much-needed outdoor recreation. Nevertheless, everyone on the team needs to take a break from the demanding schedule and unwind once in a while.
The Asia Cup’s Super 4 phase gets started on Saturday. India’s first Super 4 encounter will be against Pakistan on Sunday. All of the teams compete against one another in the Super 4 stage due to the format. The top 2 teams will advance to the Asia Cup final, which will take place on September 11.
