Carabao Cup Final: Jota Recovering Well for Final vs Chelsea

Carabao Cup Final: Jota Recovering Well for Final vs Chelsea

Carabao Cup Final: Liverpool has a date set with Chelsea on Sunday. The Reds will face the Blues in the finals of the Carabao Cup. Both the teams are in red hot form and will look to win the trophy for their cabinet. Chelsea has just returned after winning the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Reds will face a tough challenge against Chelsea. Winning a final against a team like Chelsea will be difficult for Liverpool. Liverpool is currently on a winning run and is consistently performing well. They defeated Arsenal in the semi-finals to book this date with the Blues on Sunday.

Liverpool has been consistently winning matches. They beat Leeds United 6-0 with Salah and Mane both scoring a brace. Their newest signing Luis Diaz has also impressed with his performance since he arrived at Anfield. All these positives will put Liverpool in a good position to be a little bit better than Chelsea on Sunday.

Chelsea will also not back off on giving their best to win the Carabao Cup. Although one more positive for Liverpool is that the in-form forward Diogo Jota is responding well to his treatment and might be available for the finals.

Carabao Cup Final: Jota might return but the Reds will be without Firmino

Diogo Jota picked up an ankle ligament injury during Liverpool’s match with Inter Milan in the Champions League Round-of-16. Jota felt issues with his ankle during the first 10 minutes of the game but kept on playing for the first half. He was substituted by Roberto Firmino at half-time.

It was revealed that Jota damaged the ligaments in his ankle which forced him to sit out. However, Jota has responded well to his treatment and has trained on Wednesday without an issue. He has to train till Saturday without any issues to play the finals on Sunday.

Jota has been a key player for Liverpool this season. The forward has scored 17 goals in 31 appearances for Liverpool this season and is just behind Salah in the top scorer’s list of the Premier League this season. He can prove to be an important asset for Liverpool in their game against Chelsea.

Jota is looking to come back but Klopp will have to play a squad without Roberto Firmino. Firmino has damaged his adductor muscle and he will not be available in the finals against the Blues. The Brazilian scored the opener against Inter Milan but he will miss the opportunity to find the net against Chelsea.

Klopp vs Tuchel, an epic battle

Carabao Cup Final: Chelsea will not be an easy challenge for Liverpool. The Blues are just behind the Reds in the Premier League. Liverpool may be on a nine-match winning streak but their record against Chelsea has not been up to the mark.

It has been a great battle between two German managers. Both of them are considered the best in the world. Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp, both are great managers and have taken their respective clubs to great heights.

Tuchel has not lost a game against Klopp’s side in the last four encounters. The Blues have won two and drawn two against the Reds. Moreover, the last final between these two sides was in 2005 which was also for the Carabao Cup. The match was won by Chelsea in extra time.

Liverpool will look to change these stats against Chelsea in the finals. They will give their best to get their hands on the Carabao Cup. Chelsea will also pose a reasonable threat to the Reds. It will be the battle of the bests on Sunday.
