After the RCB vs KKR game, Andre Russell’s statement on KKR’s performance summed up how much the team was relieved after the win over RCB.
Andre Russell’s statement reads that the team is immensely relieved after ending KKR’s losing streak in the ongoing edition of the IPL 2023.
Kolkata Knight Riders successfully completed a double over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing season. Nitish Rana and Co have won three games this season and two of them have come against RCB in IPL 2023.

KKR won the first leg by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) by 81 runs at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Later on, KKR defeated the same opponent by 21 runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, Andre Russell’s statement after the game between RCB and Kolkata knight Riders(KKR) comes after KKR suffered four defeats in a row this season.
Andre Russell‘s statement described that the team was eagerly looking for a win. It was due to the fact that they haven’t been up to their standards in the last couple of games.

“We really needed that victory. Have been under the pump the last couple of games. Batting first tonight, we know once we get a good total on the board – runs on the board are pressure,” Andre Russell added.
“Our goal was to keep their power play under 55. We were able to pull it back in the middle,” Andre Russell’s statement read in a post-match presentation.
Meanwhile, the West Indies cricketer also opened up on his physical fitness. He said that it is vital for him to look after his body now so that he can play for the long term.
“Batting first or batting second comes down to the amount of runs you’re setting up, and the dew factor. Once I get the ball I try to do my best. Have been struggling in patches with the bat. Still confident, and still know what to do. Got a really good Yorker, credit to Mohammed Siraj. Recovery is important to me. The older I get, the more experienced, the more I look after my body,” he added.
