IPL 2023 Points Table After DC vs MI Match No. 16

On 11th April, the 16th match of TATA IPL 2023 was played between the Delhi Capitals, led by David Warner, and Mumbai Indians led by the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the home ground of the former.

The match of DC vs MI was an interesting contest between the two teams as these were the only ones who were yet to register their win. The Delhi Capitals worked very hard to put up a score of 172 runs, but the Mumbai Indians were in brilliant form and scored 173 runs at the loss of only 4 wickets, registering their first win in this tournament and pushing their name to the first rank.

The Rajasthan Royals were at the top of the TATA IPL 2023 Points Table before RCB vs LSG as they won over the Delhi Capitals by a margin of 57 runs on Saturday. The Lucknow Super Giants had surpassed them to secure the 1st position after their incredible win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. The RR can expect to regain the top position if they win against the Chennai Super Kings on 12th April.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have been upgraded from 7th position to 3rd position after two consecutive wins against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans. The latter remains at the same position 4th as last week after they lost to KKR on Sunday, 9th April!

The Chennai Super Kings have also been promoted from 6th position to 5th after they registered a win against Mumbai Indians in the second match of blockbuster Saturday on 8th April! The Punjab Kings have reached 6th rank from 5th after they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad on 9th April.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad occupy the 9th position as they registered their first win against Punjab Kings on Sunday. The Delhi Capitals continue to remain at the bottommost position of the points table as they lost their 4 consecutive match.

The Lucknow Super Giants secure the top position in their group’s table too after their massive win against Royal Challengers Bangalore, while the Delhi Capitals remain at the bottom after they lost the 4th consecutive match. The Mumbai Indians have a better net run rate as they registered their first win against Delhi Capitals.

The Gujarat Titans secure the 4th position in the overall points table, but the top position in their Group’s table as they have lost only 1 match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. The Sunrisers Hyderabad secures the 8th position in the overall table, but the last position in the groups’ table as they registered their first win against Punjab Kings on Sunday.
