Lucknow Super Giants, who defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by one run on Saturday, became the third club to confirm a Playoffs berth after Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
LSG overcame a shaky top-order with a blazing Nicholas Pooran fifty to compile a difficult 176-run total against KKR. In response, KKR nearly won with an undefeated 67 from Rinku Singh, but fell short by a narrow margin.
Lucknow Super Giants finished third in the points standings, behind Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, while KKR finished seventh in the IPL 2023 Points Table.

There are two groups made up of the 10 IPL teams. While Group B consists of CSK, PBKS, SRH, RCB, and GT, Group A consists of MI, RR, KKR, DC, and LSG. A team will play twice with the teams in its group and once with the team in the same row in the second group during the league stages, where each club is scheduled to play 14 matches.
