Shreyas Iyer returns to India’s squad ahead of the Ind vs Ban Asia Cup 2023 Game

Ind vs Ban Asia Cup 2023

Team India has secured a spot in the finals of the 2023 Asia Cup by winning their first two Super four stage matches. They had a remarkable victory over Pakistan, defeating them by a massive 228 runs. In the very next match against Sri Lanka, India displayed a strong performance and won by a convincing 41-run margin. The next match of the Ind vs Ban Asia Cup 2023 is set to commence on 15th Sep 2023.

Shreyas Iyer was unable to play in any of those matches because he wasn’t in good physical condition. He experienced back spasms just before the game against Pakistan. He seems to be fit before the clash between Ind vs Ban Asia Cup.

These spasms were causing him pain and discomfort, which made it impossible for him to be selected to play in those matches. But Iyer was back in the nets for the Ind vs Ban Asia Cup.

Iyer played in India’s initial group-stage matches against Pakistan and Nepal. However, after those games, he didn’t get the chance to play in the next few matches during the Super Four stage. While he has been seen in the nets, Iyer might find a place in the Ind vs Ban Asia Cup.

Because of this, the team’s managers decided to take him out of the lineup. Instead, they chose KL Rahul to step in. KL Rahul was making a return to the team after being sidelined due to an injury.
