Today’s IPL Match Schedule: All Details With Time and Venue

Finally, after a long halt of 3 years, the most beloved tournament of Indian cricket, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to make its way back to where it all started. The COVID-19 pandemic was the main reason behind no IPL in India!

In 2020, the IPL was stopped midway through April due to a sudden surge in COVID cases, and the second half was held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) during September. In 2022, the IPL took place in India, with matches held only in Mumbai and Pune, while the knockout matches were shifted to Kolkata and Ahmedabad. However, the 2023 edition is all set to take place at both home grounds and away locations.

Today’s IPL Match Schedule will be live televised by Star Sports, but Disney+Hotstar will not be offering live streaming of the games at this moment. The match will be streamed live on the Jio Cinema app for free.

Jio previously declared in February that it would provide customers with exclusive access to live IPL 2023 matches in 4K quality with multiple camera angles.

IPL 2023-specific Jio data rates and data add-on plans were recently introduced by Jio. Users who recharge for ₹219, ₹399, and ₹999 will receive 3GB of internet each day. The plans’ corresponding expiration dates are 14, 28, and 84 days.

From the table, it can be concluded that since the beginning of IPL, Punjab had fought against Kolkata in 30 matches, where the result was in the latter’s favour 20 times against Punjab winning the rest 10 matches!
The average score of Punjab is around 158 runs against 161 of Kolkata. Similarly, Punjab had put up the maximum total of 214 runs against 245 runs of Kolkata! There is only one difference in the minimum runs which are 119 for Punjab and only 74 for Kolkata.

Punjab reached the IPL top four only twice, in 2008 and 2014, where they finished up as runners-up in the latter against Kolkata Knight Riders held in M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. In 2022, they stood 6th on the points table out of the 10 teams.

Kolkata Knight Riders are of the most successful IPL team as it had bagged the trophy twice. Their first trophy came in 2012 after defeating the Chennai Super Kings and then surpassed Kings XI Punjab in 2014 to win the trophy for the second time! In 2022, they were at position 7th on the points table.
