Finally, after a long halt of 3 years, the most beloved tournament of Indian cricket, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to make its way back to where it all started. The COVID-19 pandemic was the main reason behind no IPL in India!
In 2020, the IPL was stopped midway through April due to a sudden surge in COVID cases, and the second half was held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) during September. In 2022, the IPL took place in India, with matches held only in Mumbai and Pune, while the knockout matches were shifted to Kolkata and Ahmedabad. However, the 2023 edition is all set to take place at both home grounds and away locations.
