In the latest Barcelona transfer news, the Catalan outfit are among the clubs monitoring the situation of Real Betis left-back Juan Miranda.
Juan Miranda is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia. The now 23-year-old also made 30 appearances for Barcelona B and four appearances for Barcelona first-team during his stint at the Catalan outfit.
Juan Miranda initially joined his current club Real Betis on loan from FC Barcelona in October 2020. He then joined Real Betis on a permanent deal in 2021. Real Betis signed the player on a free transfer but Barcelona have the right to first refusal on any future sale of the player. They also retain 40% of the rights to any future sale of the player.
Juan Miranda’s current contract with Real Betis expires in 2024, meaning that he has entered the final year of his contract with the club. That also means the player would be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of Spain in January.

In the latest Barcelona transfer news, according to Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto, the Catalan outfit are among the clubs exploring the profile of Juan Miranda for the summer.
However, Barcelona are likely to face competition from elsewhere if they want to sign the 23-year-old left-back. According to Matteo Moretto, AC Milan are keen on the player and are preparing a written offer to sign Miranda on a free transfer next summer. The Serie A outfit are expected to make every effort to sign the Spaniard.

Meanwhile, Juan Miranda has so far appeared in 85 games across all competitions for Real Betis. He has also racked up six goals and nine assists in those matches.
ESPN, meanwhile, recently reported that Barcelona are searching the transfer market for a defensive midfielder and two full-backs. The Catalan outfit wants to improve on their back-up options in the full-back department, the report said.
Joao Cancelo and Alejandro Balde are Barcelona’s current first choices in the full-back department. They also have Marcos Alonso and Sergi Roberto as backup options but both players’ current contract expires in 2024.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have made a good start to the 23/24 campaign and they sit third in the La Liga points table.
