President of the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues, has openly admitted their interest in hiring Carlo Ancelotti as the next permanent manager of the Brazil national football team.
Brazil’s national football team are currently without a permanent manager after Tite stepped down from the position after their FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign.
Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with the role of Brazil’s national football team manager, although he has previously denied suggestions that he has reached an agreement to become the next manager of the South American heavyweights.
When reports emerged that Carlo Ancelotti would become the next Brazil manager, Brazilian Football Federation also issued a statement denying the same.

However, Ednaldo Rodrigues has now openly admitted Brazil’s interest in hiring Carlo Ancelotti.
Ednaldo Rodrigues said Carlo Ancelotti is the players’ and fans’ favourite to become the next manager of Brazil’s national football team.
“Ancelotti is unanimously respected among players. Not only Ronaldo Nazario or Vinicius Jr but all those that have played for him,” Ednaldo Rodrigues told Reuters.
“I really admire him for his honesty in the way he works and how constant his work is. He needs no introductions. He is really a top coach who has several achievements and we hope he can have even more.
“Ancelotti is not only the players’ favourite but it seems the fans’ too. Everywhere I go in Brazil, in every stadium, he is the first name the supporters ask me about.
“They talk about him in a very affectionate way, in recognition of the exemplary work he has done in his career. Let’s have faith in God, wait for the appropriate time and we’ll see if we can make it happen as we look for the new coach of the Brazilian national team.”
Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti is the current manager of Real Madrid. His future as Real Madrid manager could depend on how the 22/23 season ends for Los Blancos. Real Madrid remains in contention for La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles.
In La Liga, Real Madrid trails table-toppers Barcelona by 12 points. In Copa del Rey, they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Barca in the semi-final first leg. They have to turn the tie around in the second leg if they want to progress to the Copa del Rey finals. In the Champions League, Real Madrid have qualified for the quarter-finals, where they will face Chelsea.
