Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said they must play a complete game against FC Barcelona in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final.
Barcelona secured a 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final and the Catalan outfit have the edge going into the second leg. Real Madrid will have to turn the tie around in the second leg if they want to seal their place in the final of the competition.
Real Madrid trail Barcelona by a goal in the Copa del Rey semi-final tie, but Carlo Ancelotti said their idea is not to go crazy for a goal right from the start. However, he also said Real Madrid must play a complete game against their El Clasico rivals.
“The idea is not to go crazy looking for a goal because you can do that in the 90th minute,” Carlo Ancelotti said [via Madrid Universal].

Carlo Ancelotti: We’ll do everything we can to win it
“In the first leg, we controlled the game well although we didn’t get forward much and we have to improve on that, but we’re not going to go crazy. The team must play a complete game because that’s the only way you know you’re going to score goals,” Carlo Ancelotti added.
Carlo Ancelotti also said Real Madrid will do everything it can to defeat Barcelona and secure their passage to the Copa del Rey final.
He said: “The Clasico is always the most important match. For everyone. And that’s because there is a very important rivalry. It’s a game that allows us to play a final and we’ll do everything we can to win it.”
Carlo Ancelotti also insisted that Real Madrid played well against Barcelona in their last two El Clasico matches. However, the Italian tactician did not confirm if Real Madrid would field the same XI that started in the most recent El Clasico.
“In the last two games, we have done well against Barcelona. We came close to winning the last game at Camp Nou and that’s why I may or may not have the same lineup. We’ll see.”
The Copa del Rey semi-final second leg between Real Madrid and Barcelona will kick off at 12:30 am Indian Standard Time on March 6.
