French journalist Daniel Riolo has criticized Paris Saint-Germain’s star attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr after the defending Ligue 1 champions were held to a draw by Reims.

Paris Saint-Germain faced Reims in a Ligue 1 fixture and shared points after playing out a 1-1 draw. Against Reims, PSG took the lead through Neymar Jr in the 51st minute of the match.

Marco Verratti received a red card in the 59th minute of the match, which meant PSG had to play the remainder of the game with just 10 men. They came close to securing all three points from the fixture, but a late Reims goal denied them the victory.

Folarin Balogun scored in the 90+6th minute of the match as Reims restored parity late in the game and held PSG to a draw.

Daniel Riolo was critical of Paris Saint-Germain’s star attacking trio as the French journalist suggested it is impossible to effectively incorporate all three of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe into the same lineup.

No coach in the world can play the front 3 together (Messi, Neymar and Mbappe), it’s impossible!” Daniel Riolo said on RMC Sport.

Despite the draw to Reims, Paris Saint-Germain continue to enjoy a three-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 points table. PSG, who are the defending Ligue 1 champions, have 48 points from 20 matches in the French top-flight so far this season.

Lens sit second in the Ligue 1 points table, and they have 45 points from 20 matches.

Meanwhile, the draw to Reims also means PSG have only won two of the five Ligue 1 fixtures they have so far played since the resumption of club football action after the winter break.

All three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr started for Paris Saint-Germain against Reims. Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi was on the pitch for the entirety of the match, while Neymar was subbed off in the 85th minute of the game.
