Manchester United signed Netherlands international Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley in the January transfer window for the remainder of the 22/23 campaign. Weghorst is a short-term striker option for the Red Devils, and they are expected to sign a striker in the summer transfer window of 2023.

The England international will enter the final year of his current contract with Tottenham Hotspur next season. Tottenham risks losing Harry Kane on a free transfer in the summer of 2024 if they do not reach an agreement over a new contract or part ways with him before his contract expires.
Harry Kane has previously said that he was sure there would be conversations with Tottenham Hotspur over a new contract. But his future remains uncertain, and Manchester United could look to sign the English attacker in the summer of 2023.
