Manchester United injury update: Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided an injury update on three players ahead of their Europa League clash with Barcelona.
Manchester United will take on Barcelona in the Europa League knockout play-off second leg at Old Trafford in their next match. The Red Devils and the Catalan outfit played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg which took place at Camp Nou, leaving the tie in the balance.
Speaking ahead of the match, Erik ten Hag provided an injury update on Harry Maguire, Antony, and Anthony Martial. All three aforementioned players missed Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League in their most recent fixture.
Erik ten Hag said he expects to have both Harry Maguire and Antony available for selection when the Red Devils square off with Barcelona at Old Trafford. However, the Manchester United manager also confirmed Anthony Martial will not feature for them against Barcelona.

Providing an injury update, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said: “We still have training to do. I expect to have Maguire and Antony back. Anthony Martial is not available. He is back on the pitch, we wait for team training.”
Harry Maguire, meanwhile, was an unused substitute when Manchester United and Barcelona faced off at Camp Nou in the first leg. Antony, meanwhile, missed the first leg match against Barcelona due to an injury.
Anthony Martial, meanwhile, has been out of action for weeks. The Frenchman has only featured in 14 games for the Old Trafford outfit so far this season.

Meanwhile, both Manchester United and Barcelona could have won the first leg game that took place at Camp Nou. The match ended in a 2-2 draw. Barcelona opened the scoring in that match as Marcos Alonso sent them ahead in the 50th minute.
However, Marcus Rashford, who has been stellar for Manchester United this season, equalized for the Red Devils two minutes later. A Jules Kounde own goal gave Manchester United the lead but Barcelona equalized through Raphinha.
Barcelona, meanwhile, comes into the game against Manchester United on the back of a 2-0 win over Cadiz.
Meanwhile, the second leg match between Manchester United and Barcelona kicks off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on February 24.
