Harry Kane and Tottenham Hotspur will hold talks over a new deal after January transfer window closes and the Englishman is open to extending his stay at the north London outfit, according to a report in The Athletic.
Harry Kane remains a key player for Tottenham Hotspur and he has been impressive Antonio Conte’s men in the ongoing 22/23 campaign. The England international, who is one of the world’s best striker, however, has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur.
Harry Kane last renewed his contract with Tottenham Hotspur back in 2018, putting pen to paper on a six-year deal. His current deal with Tottenham Hotspur runs until 2024. That means he has less than 18 months left on his current contract with the Premier League outfit.
Tottenham Hotspur risk losing Harry Kane on a free transfer in the summer of 2024 if they cannot reach an agreement with the Englishman over extending his contract or if they fail to sell him before that.

Harry Kane & Tottenham Hotspur to hold discussions after January transfer window
The Athletic report that Harry Kane is open to signing a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur if the circumstances are right. Kane and Tottenham Hotspur will sit down for talks over a new contract after the January transfer window closes, the report adds.
The English outlet also report that Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane have not held negotiations over a new contract since August 2021. Kane’s representatives have also not held any serious discussions over a move away from Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, if Tottenham cannot reach an agreement with Harry Kane over a contract renewal, they will need to decide whether to sell him in the summer or let him enter the final year of his contract with the club.
Harry Kane has featured in 28 games across all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur so far in the 22/23 season. He has racked up 17 goals and three assists in those appearances.
Of his 17 goals, 15 have come in the Premier League, where he has made 20 appearances in the ongoing campaign.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur sit fifth in the Premier League points table with 33 points from 20 matches. They trail table-toppers Arsenal by 17 points. The Gunners have 50 points from 19 matches in the Premier League so far this season.
