In the latest Arsenal news, West Ham United captain Kurt Zouma has claimed that they do not miss Declan Rice following the midfielder’s move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window of 2023.
Arsenal acquired the services of Declan Rice in the summer transfer window, signing him from West Ham United for £100m plus another £5m in add-ons. That makes Rice the most expensive player in the history of Arsenal.
Declan Rice has been impressive for Arsenal, instantly hitting the ground running at his new club. The England international has featured in 11 games across all competitions for Arsenal so far this season.
Declan Rice has started in each of those and has also scored a goal. His only goal so far for Arsenal came in injury time against Manchester United in the Premier League when the game remained locked in a draw. Rice’s goal sent Arsenal 2-1 up against their fierce rival before Gabriel Jesus made it 3-1 for the Gunners in the 90+11th minute.

Arsenal news: Kurt Zouma claims West Ham don’t miss Declan Rice following Gunners transfer
Despite losing Declan Rice in the summer transfer window, West Ham United have also made a good start to the season. West Ham currently sits seventh in the Premier League table with 14 points from eight matches.
That has led to a bold claim from West Ham captain Kurt Zouma. In the latest Arsenal news, Zouma said Declan Rice’s transfer to the Gunners did not affect West Ham. Zouma credited the clever replacements West Ham made in the summer transfer window for that.

However, Zouma also hailed Declan Rice as a great player and insisted he will always be remembered at West Ham.
“We lost an important player in the summer in Declan Rice. But I think the replacements we made have been very clever and we can feel how that didn’t affect us. He is a great player who made some amazing games here and he will always be remembered here, but he is an opponent now,” Kurt Zouma told the media.
“The players who have come in have bought into the project at West Ham. They have bought into the tactics and settled very quickly. They are helping us make a good start to the season. Everybody understands the way we play.“
