Lionel Messi’s son Mateo Messi recently showcased his inner Sergio Ramos. Mateo is the second child of Lionel Messi. He was born in 2015 and he is the second child of Messi and his wife Antonella Roccuzzo. He is also in Florida along with his parents and two other brothers.
With him being the son of arguably the greatest footballer, he is expected to have some traits in common with his dad. But now it looks like he is more inspired by his father’s former teammate Sergio Ramos. Messi and Ramos were arch-rivals during their respective careers at Barcelona and Real Madrid.
However, the duo became teammates at Paris Saint Germain. Both of them arrived at PSG on a free transfer in the summer of 2021. Messi left PSG in 2023 as a free agent and Ramos has also left the club this summer. While Messi has hit the ground running with Inter Miami, Ramos is yet to find a club.
Now a video has been released online where it looks like Mateo Messi has been inspired by the Spaniard. During his career at Real Madrid, Ramos was famous for his aggression and hard tackling. Many times even Messi was the victim of his tackles.

A Twitter user by the name of All About Argentina posted a video of Lionel Messi’s son Mateo Messi playing football with his brothers. The said video has about 865.7k views, 15.3 likes, 1843 reposts, and 395 quotes.
In the said video it can be clearly seen that Mateo would use any trick in the book to stop a player from scoring, even if it was his brother ?. He constantly tackled and pushed his elder brother Thiago Messi and his younger brother Ciro Messi. Thus showing no mercy to anyone. Take a look for yourself-
With such tough tackling fans were quick to say that Mateo is turning into Sergio Ramos. One fan commented “Turning into Ramos“, while another one added “Next Ramos“. Another fan said “What a menace” and one fan posted a video of Messi being aggressive like Mateo saying “Just like his father“.
Perhaps Ramos could again join Messi at Inter Miami and help Mateo Messi take his game to the next level. Lionel Messi watching his son like this must have had flashbacks of being tackled and grappled by his former teammate Sergio Ramos. However, Lionel Messi’s other sons Thiago and Ciro must not have enjoyed this.

Not for the first time for Mateo Messi
This year as well a video surfaced online where Mateo can be seen giving a hard time to his father. Although not hard as per Messi standards but Lionel Messi’s son Mateo could be seen enjoying getting on the floor and extending a leg out.
The family was having a game inside the house with Lionel Messi and all his sons playing a bit of football. Even then Mess’s other two sons were not that active, while Matro even managed to nick the ball from his father once. Perhaps a memory he will remember for a lifetime.
Also could be a good lesson for MLS defenders trying to stop Messi (pun intended). The Messi clan seems to be very seems to be very settled in America. Earlier the Argentinian also revealed that he has been watching Marvel movies with his family. The boys are yet to start school and have plenty of free time.
Thus the family decided to watch Marvel movies at night. Even the former PSG star would do the signature moves of Marvel characters like Thor and Black Panther. Even Inter Miami owner David Beckham enjoyed watching his marquee signing celebrating his goals in Marvel style.
