Manchester United are keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund, according to a report in Manchester Evening News.
The Old Trafford outfit are expected to be in the summer transfer market of 2023 in search of a striker. They were short of options in the striker department following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from the club in November last year. Manchester United then signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley for the remainder of the 22/23 season in the January transfer window.
However, Weghorst is a considered a short-term striker option, and the Red Devils are expected to dip into the summer transfer market for a world-class striker. Manchester United have been linked with a number of names, including Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made Harry Kane the club’s prime striker target in the summer. Kane has a contract that runs until 2024 with Tottenham Hotspur, and will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the current campaign.

Harry Kane is one of the world’s best strikers and he remains a key player for both Tottenham Hotspur and England national football team. The 29-year-old will not come on the cheap, although his contract situation at Spurs could result in a lower valuation than what it would have been a season ago.
Manchester Evening News report that the Red Devils are keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund should they be priced out of a move for the Tottenham Hotspur striker.
Randal Kolo Muani plies his trade for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. The German outfit secured the services of the now 24-year-old in 2022 on a free transfer after his contract with Nantes had expired.
He has been impressive for Eintracht Frankfurt in the ongoing 22/23 campaign. The France international has racked up 16 goals and 14 assists in 35 games across all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt so far this season.
Rasmus Hojlund, meanwhile, plies his trade for Serie A side Atalanta. The now 20-year-old signed for the Italian outfit in the summer transfer window of 2022. Atalanta landed the highly-rated attacker from the Austrian side Sturm Graz.
Rasmus Hojlund has also been impressive for Atalanta. He has amassed 14 goals and five assists for the Serie A side so far this season.
