Bukayo Saka has vowed to do everything he can to make things right after he missed a penalty for Arsenal in their 2-2 draw with West Ham in the Premier League.
Arsenal threw away a two-goal lead for a second consecutive time in Premier League as the Gunners dropped two important points in a blow to their hopes of lifting the league title.
Arsenal took a two-goal lead in the first 10 minutes of the match. Gabriel Jesus sent the Gunners a goal up in the seventh minute of the game. Martin Odegaard then made it 2-0 for Arsenal in the 10th minute. However, West Ham clawed their way back into the game with goals in the 33rd and 54th minute, scored by Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen respectively.
Bukayo Saka, who has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season, missed a penalty, which could have made it 3-1 for the Gunners, in the 52nd minute. It was just two minutes later that West Ham found their equalizer.

Bukayo Saka: “I’ll do everything I can to make it right”
Taking to Instagram, Bukayo Saka apologized to the Gunners for his penalty miss and vowed he will do everything he can to make things right.
“Regardless of the outcome, I’ll always accept my responsibility,” the England international posted on Instagram. “Apologies Gunners, I’ll do everything I can to make it right.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also defended Bukayo Saka after the penalty miss. He said: “A player who takes penalties misses penalties, I don’t know anyone who hasn’t.
“If I had to pick one player to do it, it would be him again. At that moment we missed it and this is football.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal now have a four-point lead over second-placed Manchester City. But Arsenal have played a game more than Manchester City have.
Arsenal have 74 points from 31 matches in the Premier League so far this season. Manchester City, meanwhile, have 70 points from 30 games.
Arsenal will square off with bottom-dwellers Southampton in their next Premier League game before heading to Etihad Stadium to square off with Manchester City in what promises to be a blockbuster clash. The result of that match could prove to be crucial in deciding the winners of the Premier League 22/23 season.
