Neymar Jr is reportedly determined to stay at Paris Saint-Germain beyond the end of the 22/23 season despite reports linking him with an exit from the French club.
Reports have previously claimed that Paris Saint-Germain wants to part ways with Neymar Jr at the end of the 22/23 season. But French outlet L’Equipe claims that Neymar has no intention of leaving PSG before his contract with the defending Ligue 1 champions expires.
Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 after the French heavyweights signed him from Barcelona. Paris Saint-Germain broke the world record when they landed Neymar as they paid Barcelona a staggering €222 million in transfer fee.
Neymar has been playing for Paris Saint-Germain ever since. The Brazilian international has been a key player for PSG and has largely been impressive for the club in the 22/23 season. However, he has been far from his best since the resumption of club football action after the end of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

L’Equipe reports that Neymar does not have any intention to part ways with PSG before his contract with the club runs out. The report also says that Neymar is determined to stay at PSG even if Lionel Messi leaves the French club in the summer.
Lionel Messi has entered the final six months of his Paris Saint-Germain contract. His current deal with PSG is due to expire at the end of June 2023. Although PSG have made it clear they want to extend Messi’s contract, they have not yet reached an agreement with the Argentine icon over extending his stay at the club.
Meanwhile, Neymar’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly runs until 2027. That means he has more than four years still left on his current contract with the French behemoths. Should he see out that contract, he will have spent 10 seasons with Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar has featured in 29 games across all competitions for PSG this season and has racked up 18 goals and 17 assists for the French club.
Neymar, meanwhile, is an injury doubt for PSG’s Champions League round-of-16 second-leg match against Bayern Munich. The Brazilian attacker suffered an injury during PSG’s most recent fixture and was stretchered off the pitch.
