Neymar Jr has provided an update on his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe ahead of their Champions League round-of-16 first-leg clash with Bayern Munich, revealing what the Frenchman has told him about his injury.
Kylian Mbappe has been out of action after suffering an injury at the start of February. He picked up an injury during PSG’s 3-1 win over Montpellier in Ligue 1. He has since missed three matches for PSG.
Kylian Mbappe was not in the PSG squad for their win over Toulouse and defeats to Marseille and AS Monaco. However, the France international has been named in the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the Bayern Munich clash.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of PSG’s round-of-16 first-leg match against Bayern Munich, Neymar provided an update on his teammate.

Neymar revealed what Kylian Mbappe has told him about his injury. The Brazilian star said Mbappe has told him he felt good. Neymar also said Mbappe is an important player for PSG.
“[Mbappe] is an extremely important player, he’s a crack, a great player,” Neymar said. “When the three of us are together, [myself, Messi, and Mbappe], we feel very strong. He told me he felt good. These are good signs.”
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi, who picked up an injury during PSG’s defeat to Marseille in the French Cup, missed their match against AS Monaco as a result. However, the Argentine superstar has also been named in the PSG squad to face Bayern Munich.
