Neymar Jr will not feature for Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League round of 16 second-leg clash with Bayern Munich due to injury, Christophe Galtier has confirmed.
Neymar has been out of action after suffering an injury during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 match against LOSC Lille. The Brazilian superstar was stretchered off the pitch in the 51st minute of the game after injuring his ankle.
Paris Saint-Germain have only played a game since, and Neymar missed it as they defeated Marseille 3-0 in Ligue 1. PSG will take on Nantes in Ligue 1 in their next match, and the club manager Christophe Galtier has confirmed Neymar will miss that game.
PSG will then take on Bayern Munich in a crucial Champions League match, and Christophe Galtier has ruled Neymar out of that match too.

Christophe Galtier told reporters that Neymar will not be available for selection for Paris Saint-Germain in their next two games. The PSG manager admitted that the Brazilian’s unavailability for their next two games due to the injury he has suffered is a ‘negative’ for them.
“For our two next games, Neymar won’t be available for us. I can’t tell you his absence is insignificant, it is negative for us,” Christophe Galtier said, providing an update on the Paris Saint-Germain attacker.
Neymar’s unavailability for the match against Bayern Munich is a heavy blow for PSG, who will be aiming to turn the Champions League round of 16 tie around after suffering a defeat in the first leg.
PSG slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at Parc des Princes in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie. The defending Ligue 1 champions will now be without one of their best players for the second leg, which will take place at Allianz Arena.
PSG, who secured an impressive win over Marseille in their most recent fixture, will now be aiming to defeat Nantes in their next game and then head into the Champions League round of the 16-second leg in form.
PSG’s Ligue 1 match against Nantes will kick off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on March 5, while their Champions League match against Bayern Munich will kick off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on March 9.
