We are not here for revenge. What happened, happened in the past. The lesson we can learn is to learn a little bit about what happened, get a good result, and perform well tomorrow to give us the opportunity to reach the final when we play in Manchester. This is completely different to last season,” Pep Guardiola told reporters [via GOAL].

It didn’t happen last season because we played Real Madrid and they know what to do. But the more we play against them the more we learn. One year later we are here again. After what happened last season, it’s a good point for us.

Manchester City have been on an impressive run and comes into the upcoming game against Real Madrid on the back of a 2-1 win over Leeds United in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola and co. are chasing a historic treble this season as they remain in contention for Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup titles.
