Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Harry Kane’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur. The Spurs striker’s contract expires in 2024 as per Daily Mail. While Sprus are hardly in a position to challenge for big trophies anytime soon.
Los Blancos are looking to bolster their squad this summer. Karim Benzema is now 35 years old and this season he has been many times injured as well.
It has also been seen that this season, Real Madrid have been heavily dependent on the Frenchman. This season he has scored 19 goals in just 28 appearances. But without him in the squad, their attack hasn’t been the same.
Thus they have reignited their interest in Harry Kane. However, Dany Levy will charge huge fees for his priced asset. Considering this Real Madrid are said to be willing to wait till 2024 to sign him on a free.
Why does Real Madrid believe they can sign Harry Kane?
It is not the first time that the player has been linked to Los Blancos. However, Daniel Levy has somehow managed to keep the Englishman at Spurs.
But with Antonio Conte, departing things might take a different turn. It appears that the Italian might soon Sprus and it was Conte who was a big reason for Kane to stay at Spurs.
It is no secret that Kane wants to win trophies but the Spurs have failed to challenge for big trophies. Thus with Conte leaving he might also consider leaving the club.
Not only this Levy will prefer to sell him abroad. There has been interest from Manchester United but Levy would not want to sell Kane to the Red Devils. While outside Premier League, Real Madrid will face competition from Bayern Munich for the Englishman.
Other Options for Real Madrid
There is no question that Los Blancos need to add more strength to their squad in the summer. Some big names like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland have been linked with a move to the Spanish giants. However, they will be expensive signings and it will be difficult to sign them.
Now a new name has also entered the frame. Some new reports suggest that Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku is also being considered by Los Blancos. The Belgian international is currently on loan from the Blues at Inter Milan.
He was in great form during his first spell at the San Siro. Thus Chelsea were persuaded to sign him. However, he failed to replicate the same form at Stamford Bridge. Thus he was shipped off to Inter Milan.
This season as well, he has struggled to find his same form. It is not clear whether he will be at Inter Milan next season. Carlo Ancelotti is said to be an admirer of the player the former Manchester United striker.
