Real Madrid are looking to build a stronger front line for next season. Karim Benzema has injury issues and he is not getting any younger. Other forwards like Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, and Mariano Diaz haven’t helped their cause.
According to Defense Central via Hard Tackle, Real Madrid wants three new forwards. Harry Kane, Mohammad Salah, and Victor Oshmein are presently on their radar. All three of them have been in excellent form this season.
Harry Kane has scored 23 goals in all competitions. While Salah has the same number of all goals as Kane in all competitions as well. But both of them are in their peak age as well.
The youngest of the three is Victor Oshmein. The 24-year-old has 25 goals across all competitions for Napoli. He is also leading the line for a Napoli side that is relentlessly charging toward the Serie A title.
Will Real Madrid be able to sign all three?
For practical purposes, it is almost impossible for Los Blancos to sign all three this summer. The players might want to join them but their present clubs won’t allow them to leave for cheap.
Harry Kane has a contract with the Spurs till 2024. Dany Levy has made it almost impossible for clubs to sign him. This is one of the reasons why he is still at the club. On the other Liverpool have constantly challenged for big trophies.
Thus that has kept Salah at the club. However, the Reds are in a phase of transition. They are no longer in a position to challenge for big trophies. This might tempt the Egyptian to leave but Liverpool will demand huge fees for him.
As for Victor Oshmein, Napoli would want to keep him for as long as possible. In the past as well they have made it very difficult for clubs to sign their players. Not only this the Italian side signed him for €70 million from Lille. They would want to at least recoup that amount for the Nigerian.
Other targets for Real Madrid?
There is no question that Real Madrid are in need of reinforcements in the attacking department. Vinicius Junior is the only starter for the club. While Rodrgyo has impressed at times but he is not a starter for the club.
As for the above three players, they will cost a fortune to the club. On top of it, Kane and Salah are in their early thirties. Instead, Los Blancos could target younger players who can be equally efficient.
The two names that pop up are Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. While the Frenchman has already indicated that he will join Real Madrid in 2024. It remains to be seen how Los Blancos sign Haaland.
Manchester City will ask for a record fee for him. Another option could be Duscan Valhovic. The Serbian was in great form before joining Juventus. Some have suggested that due to Massimiliano Allegri’s defensive tactics he hasn’t shown his best form.
