Real Madrid transfer news: Canada international and Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies is on the radar of the Spanish behemoths, according to a report in Marca.
The summer transfer window of 2023 has slammed shut but Real Madrid are already thinking about reinforcing the squad in the transfer windows to come. Real Madrid have, in recent years, bolstered their midfield department with the addition of the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Jude Bellingham. Given their respective ages, all three players are long-term options for Real Madrid in the midfield.
Real Madrid are looking to bolster their other departments, and the left-back position, Marca reports, is one of them. They have Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia as their primary options in the left-back position. But there is uncertainty surrounding Mendy’s future at the club and the Frenchman has not yet been offered a contract renewal.
Number one on Real Madrid’s list for that position is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies. He is not the only player on the radar but Marca reports that Real Madrid sees him as the most desirable and most necessary of all of them.

In the latest Real Madrid transfer news, Marca also reports Alphonso Davies has refused to renew his contract with Bayern Munich.

If Alphonso Davies continues to refuse to extend his stay at Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga side may look to sell him before he can leave the club on a free transfer in 2025. Bayern wants the player to renew.
Real Madrid have not made any movements to sign Alphonso Davies, but the club remains attentive to the full-back’s situation at Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have got their La Liga 23/24 campaign off to a stellar start. Carlo Ancelotti and co. sit atop the La Liga points table with 12 points from four matches. They are two points clear of second-placed Girona and third-placed Barcelona, who are the defending champions.
Bayern Munich have also had a good start to the new season. They sit second in the Bundesliga points table, with nine points from three matches.
