Vinicius Jr Injury Update: The Real Madrid attacker suffered an injury within the first 20 minutes of their La Liga match against Celta Vigo. The Brazilian international was taken off in the 18th minute of the game, with Joselu replacing him.
The injury that Vinicius Jr has suffered is a blow to Real Madrid as the 23-year-old is one of their most important players in the squad.
Against Celta Vigo, Vinicius Jr went down holding his hamstring in the 13th minute of the game. Vinicius tried to continue on the field but was eventually subbed off in the 18th minute.
Real Madrid would go on to win the game, courtesy of a goal Jude Bellingham scored in the 81st minute. Carlo Ancelotti and co. have now won all three games they have so far played in the La Liga 23/24 campaign.

“Vini Jr. wanted to continue and I don’t think it was too serious. He tried and it was niggling him a little bit, so we made the decision to replace him. I don’t think he’ll play against Getafe and the break will help him to recover for when we play again,” Carlo Ancelotti said [via Madrid Universal].
Speaking on Vinicius Jr’s performance in the first 18 minutes of the game against Celta, Carlo Ancelotti said: “He had a good start to the game, he seemed unstoppable. It’s a shame. We found it more difficult without him, but also due to the fact that they played very well at the back.”
