Chelsea Superstar, Eden Hazard has named Manchester City and Liverpool as the only title challengers to his rampant Chelsea side this season.
Chelsea after shaky start to their season have now gone on to sit of the top of the Premier League for the second week in succession with a win over their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Conte’s switch to 3-4-3 has done wonders to the Chelsea side who were down on confidence and belief. Their defense which was supposedly their biggest weakness going into the season has been in tremendous form, conceding just one goal in their last 5 matches.
When asked about who he sees as Chelsea’s rivals for the title, Hazard said: “Man City and Liverpool.
“They are both good. If we want to be there at the end, then we have to finish above them.”
Hazard reiterated that Chelsea’s no European duties are also helping in their great form.
“It’s good,” he said. “We have one week to prepare for the game and at the end of the week we know what to do when we play.
“Last year, we were just doing recovery so we weren’t always ready for the game, but that’s not the case now. We’re concentrating on the opposition during the week and give everything.
“We do lots of tactical work and video work, it depends who we’re playing. We do everything to be prepared.”
Chelsea will be facing Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in the upcoming Premier League clash. It’ll also be the return of former Blues player, Kevin De Bruyne, who since his departure from Stamford Bridge has gone in and become one of the best players in Europe. On talking about his Belgian teammate and forme Chelsea teammate, Hazard said “He’s a top player, he didn’t get his chance here at Chelsea, but did very well in Germany and since he went to City he’s been on fire.”
“Sometimes you don’t get the chance to play, or the system the manager uses isn’t right for you, but now he’s full of confidence. I hope next week he’ll have less confidence!
“It’s good for Belgium that two players are fighting for the title in England, but I hope when we go to the national team we don’t fight! We’re good friends.”
Although Hazard kept out the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham from the title race but both the clubs, especially Arsenal can mount a serious title challenge against their foes, Chelsea.
