IND vs PAK: Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian cricketer, offers some important advice to the newest crop of Indian batters. He thinks Virat Kohli can teach them how to play well under pressure in important games.
The former Indian opener made his remarks following the Men in Blue’s most recent 5-wicket loss to Pakistan. The Men in Blue were humiliated in the Super-4 match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 despite setting a lofty target. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium served as the venue for the eagerly awaited game.
For the second time in the competition, the two bitter rivals faced off. This time, however, India did not fare well in the results. India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the previous Group stage encounter, whereas Pakistan triumphed this time by five.
At one stage of the game, India was looking in control of the game. With a comfortable total on the board and their recent bowling record, it seemed like victory was imminent. However, Pakistan’s batting line-up made the run-chase look easy and everybody was left wondering whether India could’ve scored more or not.

IND vs PAK: SKY and Pant Receive Advice from Gautam Gambhir on How to Bat Like Virat Kohli
India had a strong start to the Super-4 match after being invited to bat first. Both Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul scored at a rate of more than 10 per over as the Men in Blue were on fire. However, Virat Kohli’s crucial innings, in which he appeared to have rediscovered his revered form, came first.
He ran between the wickets while batting with his bottom hand. It goes without saying that Indian fans finally had a peek at the old Virat. At one point, the former Indian captain was performing brilliantly. In the second half of the Indian innings, there was nobody to support him at the other end.
The middle order as a whole was unable to maintain the impetus from the other end. India ended up scoring only 181 runs, which was, without a doubt, below par.

“You cannot hit those big shots every time. They need to learn to play risk-free cricket from Virat. Virat batted brilliantly today, he is going to get better from here on,” Gambhir stated on Star Sports.
Both batters, in Gambhir’s opinion, were unable to handle the pressure of such a high-stakes match. He claimed that this was the reason they were unable to get India to a safe total. He continued by saying they should learn how to play risk-free cricket.
Pant was dismissed after scoring 14 runs off 12 balls while Suryakumar only managed to score 13. Hardik went outside to look for a duck. Virat Kohli led the way with a 60-run performance off 44 balls. The next Super-4 game for India will now take place on September 6 against Sri Lanka.
