IPL 2022: After thrashing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the previous game of the contest, Delhi Capitals would have been thinking of dominating the competition once again in the current leg of IPL 2022.
However, there is no doubt that DC batters batted beautifully throughout the innings, but their bowlers robbed the show.
Delhi will now face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on the 16th of April 2022. The squad has conveyed a setback as the squad’s best all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has not recovered from his injury yet.
Marsh is one of the finest all-rounders in the world, and Marsh being in Delhi’s franchise was indeed a great advantage for the squad.
However, Marsh getting ruled out from the tournament would be a significant setback for the squad. According to the reports, Marsh may not be able to play three to four matches in the current leg of IPL 2022.
Delhi Capitals bought Marsh in the IPL 2022 mega-auction for 6.50 crore. The lad got injured while captaining his team in the bilateral series between Pakistan and Australia last month.
Still, avoiding his injury, the franchise thought about his option, thinking he may come back to India and manage his injuries in their rehab. Two days ago, Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting said that Mitchell Marsh could field against KKR. But, he has not been included in this team.

One of our sources, when asked about Marsh, stated that “Mitch is still being assessed. There’s sometime before our next game, so we may get a clearer idea closer to that.”
According to the news, now Michelle Marsh will take some time to recover completely. It is being told that he will not be able to play in the coming 3-4 matches of this season.
However, his condition has been continuously monitored. There is some time for the next game. Till the squad has no other option but to keep a close eye on him.
As far as DC’s performance is concerned, the squad has been doing well in the matches played, so faring well. The team has already thrashed two of the biggest franchise in the tournament. However, the squad faced defeat against Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans but now is in a good position.
As mentioned above, DC’s next match is against RCB next Saturday, the 16th of April. However, Marsh may not be able to play against PBKS on the 20th of April and RR on the 22nd of April. But we hope Marsh will soon enter the field and play for the Capitals.
