Juventus News: Italian Serie A giants Juventus have confirmed that their star midfielder Paul Pogba will undergo knee surgery.
Earlier Pogba suffered a meniscus injury in July and is yet to feature for the Old Lady.
Known as a very talented player from his childhood, Pogba finished his football education with the English Premier League club Manchester United and made his senior debut with the Red Devils. However, he then rejected a contract renewal with United and joined Italian club Juventus
Upon signing for the Old Lady, Pogba soon established himself in the starting eleven and became one of the best midfielders in the world. Pogba featured in the Champions League final. United then spent a huge sum of €105 million on the midfielder and brought him back to Old Trafford. In the upcoming years, Pogba couldn’t replicate his consistency of Juve days but was always a very important member of Manchester United.
Juventus News: Pogba decides to have the surgery
French International Paul Pogba is all set to undergo knee surgery confirms Italian giants Juventus.
Earlier in the summer, Pogba decided to not renew his contract with Manchester United and return to his former club Juventus.
After his return to Italy, Pogba suffered a meniscus injury in July. The injury kept him sidelined for more than a month. He then decided to not have an operation and returned to training.
However, in his only second session since his return, he could not finish the training. Pogba and the Juventus board then decided to go for the operation.
While confirming the same, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri said, “This morning Pogba trained for the second time, but the stopped, and it was then decided that he undergo surgery.”
Juventus currently hope that Pogba will return by January
A very important player for France, Pogba was instrumental in France’s World Cup winning campaign. The French midfielder was their main creative outlet and even scored a goal in the World Cup final against Croatia.
This time around France has been drawn into Group D along with Australia, Denmark, and Tunisia. Now with Pogba deciding to have the surgery just ahead of the World Cup, he is most likely going to miss the biggest event of football. His unavailability will undoubtedly be a huge miss for the France team.

Juventus have got a decent start to their Serie A campaign. The Old Lady have already garnered nine points in five matches and are still unbeaten in the league.
They are currently placed in seventh place on the table. Juventus will face Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener before facing Salernitana in Serie A.
