Juventus News: World Cup star, Paul Pogba‘s Brother Mathias Pogba is under police custody with three others in an alleged blackmail plot against his own brother.
The 29-year-old French midfielder has alleged his brother Mathias in a “group-organised extortion attempt” against him.
Mathias Pogba represented Guinea at the international level. He is now a free agent after being released by Belfort in April.
His brother denied all those claims. On social media in late August, Mathias Pogba vowed to expose “explosive” “revelations” about his sibling. Pogba’s brother also claimed to know secrets about the Juventus midfielder’s bitter relationship with his France teammate Kylian Mbappe.
Juventus News: Mbappe’s Comments on the Pogba Controversy
In that video, Mathias told alleged that his brother asked a witch doctor to cast a spell on PSG superstar Mbappe. He also told that more revelations were to come.
In response, Mbappe put his trust in his teammate rather than his blackmailer brother. The French superstar said of Pogba: “It is his word against the word of his brother, I am going to believe my teammate. It’s not a time to put more onto him. I’m pretty detached from it all.”
A statement also came from Pogba’s lawyers, his mother, Yeo, and agent Rafaela Pimenta. They responded that the videos “are no surprise” and denied that there was a video of Paul ordering a witch doctor to cast a spell.
Pogba’s Claims
The former Manchester midfielder claimed that he became the victim of an £11 million alleged blackmailing plot against him by his own brother and some of his childhood friends.
The midfielder also revealed that the blackmailers requested the sum for “protection services” stretching back 13 years.
French police confirmed that they opened an investigation against Mathias and the alleged “group-organised” crime.
According to Le Monde, Mathias Pogba has decided to ‘turn himself in’ to the authorities. The police have kept him in custody. Paul claimed that a group confronted him at the group at gunpoint and brought him to a flat in Roissy-en-Brie. They demanded there more than £ 11 million for “protecting him”.
The gang was alleged to have demanded £2.6million in cash on the spot, but Paul was not allowed to withdraw more than £85k in cash from his account. Paul Pogba opened a criminal complaint through his lawyers when the group started threatening more for money.

Football’s one of the biggest names is Pogba. The World Cup-winning midfielder joined Manchester United for a world-record transfer fee of £89 million from Juventus in the summer of 2012. He won four Serie A titles there. Unfortunately, the midfielder was not a smart purchase, as the club won nothing after 2017.
Though Pogba did not shine at Man Utd, he won the 2018 World Cup with his national team. he has re-joined Juventus on a free transfer. The midfielder is yet to play for his club, as he suffered a knee injury in pre-season. Paul Pogba’s life is not running smoothly as his Qatar World Cup dream is in jeopardy.
