Juventus Vice President Backs Massimiliano Allegri

Juventus Vice President Backs Massimiliano Allegri

Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved has slammed down all Antonio Conte rumours and backed their current manager Massimiliano Allegri.

After a decade of dominance in the Serie-A Juventus are currently going through a transition period. The Bianconeri have failed to finish in the top three in their last two terms. And even this season, they have got a very poor start to their campaign.

Juventus have won only six out of their first twelve matches. They have gathered twenty-two points so far. Juventus are in the sixth position in the Serie-A table while playing one match extra than Roma and Udinese.

Their performance in the continental tournament has been even more shambolic. Juventus have lost four out of the five matches in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League for the first time ever in their history. This also includes a humiliating loss against the Israeli side Maccabi Haifa. They have been currently knocked out from the group stage and their place in the Europa League is still not secured.

Juventus to Continue With Allegri

Juventus Vice President Backs Massimiliano Allegri

After their poor start, it was rumoured that we might soon see Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri gets sacked. The rumours further suggested that current Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is the leading candidate for the Juventus job.

However, now Juventus vice president Pablo Nedved has cleared the whole thing. According to him, all these are baseless rumours and they have full trust in their current manager Massimiliano Allegri.

“Conte to Juventus? We have not changed our position: we fully trust Allegri and players do the same,” told Pablo Nedved (via- Fabrizio Romano)

He further added, “It’s normal to have rumours about other managers when results are not good”.

Now despite Nedved’s words, pressure is surely building on Massimiliano Allegri. He will have to secure some big results en route for a top-four finish. Allegri has earlier led Juventus to five successive Serie-A titles in the last decade. He was one of the main reasons for Juventus’ domination in Italy.

But now it seems like there is something missing. The biggest problem Juventus have suffered this season is injuries to their key players. Their marquee signings like DI Maria and Parades have failed to perform at their best.

Now Juventus management are looking to bring in some new faces in the upcoming winter transfer window. This will surely give Allegri some boost.

The Turin-based side came back into the winnings ways in their last match against Leece. Nicoli Fagioli’s 73rd-minute goal helped them to get all three points from the Serie-A match. Allegri’s team will now face Paris Saint-Germain in their next match. They will have to garner a positive result to secure a place in the Europa League.
