Manchester United news: Paul Pogba joined Manchester United for a record £89 million from Serie A club Juventus in the summer transfer window of 2016.
But the France international failed to fully justify the massive transfer fee United paid to sign him. He made 154 Premier League appearances, recording 29 goals and 38 assists.
Pogba’s current deal at the Old Trafford will expire at the end of this month. He will depart the club upon its expiration.
According to the Guardian, Pogba has struck a deal with Juventus to re-join the club on a free transfer this transfer window. He will earn a net salary of £7 million per season at the Turin-based club.

Speaking in his new documentary, Paul Pogba lashed out at Manchester United. The France international desire to show the 19-time English champions that they made a blunder by not extending his stay at the club.
He said: “My thought process is to show Manchester (United) that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract. And to show other clubs that Manchester had made a mistake in not offering me a contract.”
The 29-year-old midfielder lifted just one UEFA Europa League trophy and one League Cup during his time with the Manchester-based club. A section of Red Devils supporters accused Pogba of not playing well for the club while giving his best for France.
Pogba was booed by the club’s supporters during his final two games at the club against Norwich City and Liverpool respectively.
Erik ten Hag confident of Frenkie de Jong’s move
According to Metro, Erik ten Hag is confident of signing Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona this transfer window. The Red Devils see the Dutch international as a replacement for Pogba.
Fraekie de Jong is currently among the most promising midfielders in the world. He joined Barca from Ajax in the summer transfer window of 2019. The 25-year-old played 98 league games for the club so far, scoring eight goals.

The 25-year-old midfielder enjoyed his breakthrough season under ten Hag at Ajax before joining the La Liga giants. They could reunite at Old Trafford next season.
The Blaugrana are demanding a transfer fee of close to £60 million to sell de Jong. United will face competition from Manchester City to sign the midfielder. Apart from de Jong, Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice are other midfielders linked with a move to United recently.
