The Grand Prix with MotoGP is about to come to India after a fascinating presence in 34 countries around the world. Once before, in 2011, the Indian Grand Prix made an appearance in the same circuit but sustained only for three races. The comeback of the Grand Prix event to India in the same circuit after two decades of breaking ties is therefore a momentous event.
Grand Prix is also known for holding events in the most iconic circuits, and Budhh International Circuits is one such marvel. The efforts of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and the coalitions are soon to materialize as fierce laps might be achieved on the Indian circuit soils. The MotoGP race or the Indian Grand Prix, first in line, is set to happen on September 24, 2023.
Located in the NCR region in Greater Noida, the track has been named after Gautam Budhha and was inaugurated in 2011. It is a marvelous design by the German racetrack designer Hermann Tilke.

The estimated cost for the massive project is estimated to be around $20 billion. It has a spread of 874 acres with a 5.125 km length and remarkable zoning.
A part of the Jaypee Greens Sports City, the circuit has an enormous capacity with 100,000 initially, available for expansion. The area also has a banked multi-apex turn 10-11-12 generating high tire loadings, thus challenging for the drivers.
The main circuit road is approximately 1.06 km in length, one of the longest in the world. The pitlane matches the standards of the main road, being the longest in f1, over 600 meters in length.

The history of anticipations associated with the circuit has been a long one. The GT1 World Championship, Superbike World Championship, and the previously agreed upon Grand Prix events couldn’t take shape as expected. The unfortunate years between 2014 to 2022 also had close to no international championships being hosted by the circuit. However, as the 2023 MotoGP World Championship approaches, the initially known Jaypee Group Circuit is set to take the international host seat again.
