Al Horford agreed to a $20 million deal with the Boston Celtics

Al Horford seems to have settled back into Boston. Al Horford and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Al Horford is now in Boston for his second stint with the Celtics. And it seems like he may be staying longer this time. Between 2016 to 2019, Horford competed for Boston Celtics before being moved to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The big man has already signed a two-year extension to his second stay with the Boston Celtics, which began this season. This may be his longest stay outside of his hometown team, the Atlanta Hawks, in a city.

Horford came to the Celtics for three seasons after spending his first nine years in the NBA with Atlanta. He has been a dependable large for the Celtics since being moved back to Boston Celtics from the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2020.

If he can keep up his shape, he may remain in Boston for a while. We know how much this squad loves him.

Is Boston getting enough for the Al Horford extension?

Last year, Horford and his Boston Celtics colleagues enjoyed a fantastic postseason run. Eight power forwards and three centers make up Boston Celtics’ current roster. These figures don’t appear to support the expansion. However, it makes sense to have so many big men if we get how the Celtics play basketball.

Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, and Jayson Tatum all play tough defense and are tremendously quick. Boston Celtics is wise to expand around its trio as a result. It’s also one of the factors contributing to teams’ difficulties facing them this year.

Al Horford’s knowledge of the game and expertise is a tremendous assets for the Boston Celtics. As the season goes on, Boston will only become more successful thanks to his insight and expertise.

The company made a wise choice in extending the contract since it does not place an undue financial burden on its payroll. Al Horford has also received support from players, supporters, and the city of Boston, which is always positive.

After moving back to Boston Celtics the previous year, Al Horford gradually found his place in the team. And by the time the second half of the season got underway, Al Horford was a must. He was among the finest defenders in the league and served as a crucial link as Jayson Tatum started to take control of the offense.

With Rob Williams recuperating from knee surgery. Al Horford has taken over at center and has been outstanding from deep, shooting what would likely be a career-high 48.8 percent. But since he has a somewhat greater minute burden. He is missing back-to-back games and will probably see his minute load decrease even more throughout the life of his deal.
