When Giannis Antetokounmpo HAMMERED the ball into James Harden's face

Jan 9, 2019, Bucks vs Rockets. After leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a victory over the Houston Rockets and 2018 MVP James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo decided not to participate in the discussion over whether they should consider him an early favorite for MVP.

James Harden didn’t know what had struck him. The Houston Rockets star was standing by himself on the block away from the play one minute earlier. The next, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, was hitting him in the head with a fastball.

During the Milwaukee Bucks’ triumph over the Houston Rockets, Giannis Antetokounmpo launched a rocket pass into James Harden’s face. The bruising gaffe occurred with 9:02 remaining in the Bucks’ 116-109 victories at Toyota Center in Houston on Wednesday.

When Antetokounmpo began to back down Rockets forward P.J. Tucker, Milwaukee led 98-86.”Hell no, I didn’t see it coming,” Harden said after Milwaukee defeated Houston 116-109 on Wednesday. “That (expletive) hurt a lot.” I had no idea what had happened.”

The “Greek Freak” shifted and threw a pass out to the wing with his right hand when he couldn’t find a way to the basket. But no one ever saw the ball. The Bucks star received the rebound after Harden’s shot from Antetokounmpo impacted the right side of his face.  A 3-pointer by Ersan Ilyasova gave the Bucks a lead of 101-86 and put an end to the agonizing possession. The three-pointer’s assist came from Antetokounmpo.

“I thought to myself, ‘Oh my bad.’ “Of course, I told him when we were running down the floor,” Antetokounmpo told reporters. “I had no intention of hitting him in the head. I was attempting to strike the person in the corner. It was quite difficult. It was wild because it was so difficult… To be able to bounce from one side of the floor to the other.

Despite this, Harden scored a game-high 42 points. In the defeat, he had 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. For the Bucks, Antetokounmpo had 27 points, 21 rebounds, and five assists.
