Kenny Smith Severely Critiques the Future of the Houston Rockets Prior to All-Star Weekend

The Houston Rockets have been called “one of the worst teams in professional sports” by Kenny Smith, who played in the NBA in the past and now works as a basketball analyst for the league. Smith made these remarks in the days leading up to All-Star Weekend, when he was criticising the Rockets for their poor record.

The Houston Rockets struggled mightily this year, finishing with a record of just 13-45. Because of this, they have fallen to the bottom of the Western Conference standings and are the worst club in the NBA.

The number of key players who have had to miss time due to injury has contributed to the team’s poor performance this year.

Before the All-Star Weekend, Kenny Smith recently shared his thoughts with him regarding the future of the Houston Rockets basketball club, and they weren’t exactly optimistic. Smith made the observation that “young does not mean good.” Not every young person holds promise. Young is simply young.

When I look at them, the thought that crosses my mind is not, “Oh my god, there is a young team that is promising, and the talent is going to succeed.”

At this time, they are ranked among the lowest income brackets in all professional sports. What gives me a reason to believe that they are following the proper protocol?

In spite of their current struggles, the Houston Rockets are still a young club with a promising outlook for the future. Its squad is loaded with exceptional athletes, including the up-and-coming star Jalen Green, who was chosen second overall in the NBA Draft in 2021.

With the right kind of coaching and growth over the next few years, the Rockets have the potential to mature into a squad that is capable of competing at a high level.

As the NBA season progresses, it will be intriguing to watch if the Houston Rockets can turn their season around and prove their critics wrong.

One of Silas’s most significant challenges has been dealing with the recurrent injuries sustained by key players like Kevin Porter Jr., Jabari Smith Jr., and Jalen Green. Notwithstanding the difficulties, Silas has a positive outlook for the direction the club will go in the future.

According to the standpoint of the head coach, the All-Star break presents an excellent opportunity to concentrate one’s efforts. Aside from that, he is ecstatic about the prospect of collaborating with his players to identify potential for advancement and make the required adjustments.

The Rockets will return to action this coming Saturday when they compete against the Golden State Warriors. It is not obvious at this time whether the reevaluation of Silas will lead to improved results and performances for the team.
