Denver Nuggets player Nikola Jokic has yet again embellished his crown with a couple more victories. However, this time it’s not in basketball. Looks like Jokic is just trying to prove that his winning streak will continue far beyond the basketball court. Nikola Jokic’s horses, both Brenno Laumar and Amy Del Duomo, have proved that they are the chips of the old block. The horses have secured positions that reflect the very fact that the Nuggets player has an eye for talent, be it on the court or off.
The Serbian star Nikola Jokic, aka Joker, is now conquering the equestrian lands as well. Or so say the headline of the Siberian newspapers when his two lucky charms secured podium finishes during the 60th Ljubicevski Equestrian Games. Brenno Laumar became the ‘Ace’, while Amy Del Duomo followed closely, claiming the second position.
Nikola Jokic has outdone himself this time since this is not the first time that his horses have secured podium finishes. Read more about the story below. Nikola Jokic’s horses have defeated 8 other horses in the competition who were vying for podium finishes.

Nikola Jokic’s Horse won another trophy in Sambor with Denver Nugget teammate
Denver Nugget fans have become exhausted, still failing to keep track of all the wins and headlines made by the ‘Joker’. How did he get this name? Well, that’s a story for another time. Latest by August 14, 2023: Nugget’s superstar, Nikola Jokic, won another horse racing trophy in his hometown of Sombor, Serbia. He also had his teammate, Aaron Gordon, by his side.
He holds some special affection for the four-legged racing machines. For example, Jokic said on air during the 2023 postseason that he was planning to buy another one regardless of whether the team wins the Larry O’Brien Trophy or not. He was recorded quoting, “Probably, even if I lose“, to a reporter when asked about the idea of investing in another horse.
Well, he acquired some significant media attention for his unwavering desire to get home to his horses instead of going to the Denver Nuggets Championship Parade. This statement was made after Denver’s NBA Finals victory against the Miami Heat in June. He said, “On Sundays, I have my horse racing… I don’t know how I’m going to arrive on time. I’m going to ask Josh [Kroenke] for a plane.”
Jokic’s passion for horse racing dates back to his early teens when he was delusional about his career choice. He was serious about neither, as stated by the legend himself. This was brought into the limelight after the 2016 interview with Slam. Nikola Jokic said, “Basketball was always in my life. I had two older brothers who played basketball. I fell in love with basketball because of them. We would always play together. But then, at some point in my life, I started to go into horse racing.

He also added, “I just fell in love with horses and their beauty and elegance. It was like a hobby for me. I didn’t get serious about it. And I wasn’t taking basketball seriously either. I was in between both.” It’s no surprise that Nikola Jokic has maintained his title of crowned prince both on and off the court. Jokic, if you are reading this, Denver fans are asking, “When is the next win?”
