NBA Twitter reacts to Draymond Green’s EJECTION after stomping on Domantas Sabonis

Draymond Green

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors was ejected from Game 2 of their first-round series against the Sacramento Kings after stomping on Domantas Sabonis. The incident sparked a reaction on social media as NBA fans, players, and analysts weighed in on the controversial play.

Many fans quickly condemned Green’s actions, with some calling for him to be suspended. Others, however, defended Green and argued that Sabonis had grabbed Green’s leg first and that Green was trying to shake him off.

Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard tweeted that it should have been a take foul on Sabonis, and that he didn’t believe Green had intentionally stepped on Sabonis. Shaquille O’Neal also defended Green’s actions, saying that he would have done the same thing in that situation.

Meanwhile, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr refused to comment on the incident, saying he hadn’t seen the play live and hadn’t watched a replay. Kings head coach Mike Brown, on the other hand, had no doubt that Green deserved to be ejected and suggested that the league may need to hand down additional punishment.

Despite the controversy, Sabonis refused to add fuel to the fire during his on-court interview after the win, taking a veteran move to avoid creating any billboard material for the Warriors heading into Games 3 and 4 in San Francisco.
