“I can just be on the sideline,” Zion Williamson injury pulls New Orlean Pelicans’ position in NBA Playoffs

“I don't want to go out there and be in my own head and affect the team” : Zion Williamson opened up about his hamstring injury

Zion Williamson had injury in Hamstring. The New Orleans Pelicans and the Oklahoma City Thunder will square off against one another in the 9-10 Play-In Match. After holding the eighth seed for the final week of the regular season, the Pelicans were eliminated from playoff contention after they lost to the Timberwolves in the season’s final game.

While Zion Williamson was not playing for the Pelicans, they couldn’t compete with the Wolves due to their lack of offensive firepower. The final score was 113-108, and it was a loss for the team.

The pelicans are suddenly confronted with a challenging road ahead of them if they wish to make progress. They must first win against the Thunder before taking on the team that came in second place in the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Wolves. The victor will move on to the next round and play the Nuggets in the first round of competition.

Given everything that was going on, the Pelicans would have greatly appreciated having their best player. However, Williamson is no longer eligible to compete in the play-in tournament due to their disqualification.

Zion Williamson experienced a hamstring injury during the first week of January. It was anticipated that he would return in three weeks, but he experienced a setback. As a direct consequence of this, the Pelicans finished the regular season in the ninth seed position, falling from the second seed. Zion is allowed to participate in on-court activities, but he will not be scored in the Play-In competition because of his suspension.

Zion Williamson made the following statement during a news conference: stated, “If I were in Zion, you would find me outside.” Zion’s response to the question of what else he could do on the court was as follows:

This year’s regular-season series between the Pelicans and the Thunder was won by the Pelicans, 3-1. One of those four bouts was the only one in which Zion Williamson participated on the pitch. Even without Williamson, the Pelicans have a significant advantage against the Thunder, holding a 2-1 score advantage.

Tomorrow’s battle would be a difficult one because the younger members of Thunder would be attempting to demonstrate their skills. The Pelicans still have the firepower and reputation necessary to be successful even without Zion Williamson.
