La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing French international Moussa Diaby from German club Bayer Leverkusen.
Moussa Diaby joined the academy of Paris Saint-Germain at a very early age. He then graduated from the PSG academy and was promoted to the main team.
Soon after his promotion, Diaby was loaned out to FC Crotone where he spent the second half of the 2017-18 season. After the end of the loan deal, Diaby returned back to Paris.
He played one season for the French giants before joining German side Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal. Within days, the winger became a very important member of the Leverkusen side. Diaby has also represented France and was a member of the French team that lifted the UEFA Nations League 2021.

According to a report from the Spanish outlet Fichajes, La Liga giants Real Madrid are interested in signing Moussa Diaby from German team Bayer Leverkusen.
Real Madrid currently have one of the best squads in world football. However, they still have the aspiration to improve their squad and will see a lot of incomings in the next summer transfer window.
Spanish international Marco Asensio is expected to leave Los Blancos at the end of the next season. Hence Madrid are looking to sign a winger before that.
23-year-old Moussa Diaby is currently one of the highest-rated youngsters in the world. He has already scored 39 goals and provided 41 assists for his current club Bayer Leverkusen. Diaby is regarded as one of the best assets for the German club.
Diaby’s current contract with Bayer Leverkusen will end in 2025. But Leverkusen will reportedly sell the midfielder for a fee of €70 million. This is well within the reach of Real Madrid who are one of the most financially stable clubs in the world.
Newcastle’s Growing Interest
Apart from Madrid, English Premier League club Newcastle United are also interested in the French winger. Under their new management, Newcastle wants to be one of the best clubs in the world. They have made top-class signings like Alexander Isak, Kieran Trippier, and Bruno Guimaraes in the recent past.
And now Diaby is one of their main targets to improve their squad. Similar to Madrid, the Magpies are also able to splash €70 million for the winger. So, Madrid will have to move fast if they want to sign the Frenchman.
Diaby is now expected to be a part of the France team that will feature in the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. Any good performances in that event will only rise his stocks.
