Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina recently announced his retirement from domestic and IPL cricket. Meanwhile, he has decided to start a new chapter of his career.
He has made up his mind to sign up for Abu Dhabi T10 League. The experienced cricketer will ply his trade for Deccan Gladiators in the upcoming edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
So far, the competition has completed five seasons since its inception. The fans will witness the sixth edition commences on November 23, 2022.
It will be quite interesting to see what holds in store for Raina and his supporters when he gears up for the sixth edition of Abu Dhabi T10 league.
Meanwhile, the veteran cricketer is currently playing for the India Legends team in the ongoing season of the Legends League Cricket 2022 tournament.
As per the recent reports on the internet, the former CSK player will be leading the Deccan Gladiators in the upcoming T10 league in the United Arab Emirates.
Suresh Raina to play for Deccan Gladiators in Abu Dhabi T10 League
Although there is no official confirmation about Raina leading Deccan Gladiators, a Dainik Jagran journalist reported it on social media.
As per the reports, the left-handed batsman had asked the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and the BCCI for a No Objection Certificate to feature in Abu Dhabi T10 League.
“I wish to play cricket for around two to three years more. A lot of good players are there in the Uttar Pradesh domestic team now and doing really well. I have obtained NOC from UPCA as well.”
He was one of the vital cricketers of the Indian cricket team. He played several valuable knocks for Team India during his playing days.
It is worth mentioning here that he was really good when it comes to attacking, particularly when the run-chases are concerned. His contribution to the national team shall never be forgotten.
He announced retirement international cricket back in August 15, 2020. Raina made the announcement just hours after his close friend MS Dhoni retired from international cricket.
