T20 Blast 2022: Lancashire were facing off against Essex in the Vitality Blast match. Moreover, the match was being played at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, England.
Essex went on to win the toss and they decided to have a bat first. They had a decent start due to a fine first wicket partnership of 43 runs in 4.3 overs. However, they then lost their way.
Essex put up 161 runs with a loss of five wickets in the twenty overs. Lancashire on the other hand lost Keaton Jennings for a duck. But after that, they saw a 79 runs partnership between Philip Salt and Steven Croft.
Lancashire went on to chase down the target with ease. And they won the game by seven wickets in the 16th over. Steven Croft won the man of the match award for his 76 runs from 48 balls.

Steven Croft said, “We’ve all stuck our hands up, and hopefully it will be the same for Finals Day. You have to play some really good and smart cricket to get over the line on Finals Day. It’s an exciting time and hopefully we can lift that trophy.”
Yorkshire and Lancashire will now face each other in a thrilling battle on Saturday, July 16. Moreover, the fixture will take place at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, England.
T20 Blast 2022: Tim David takes a spectacular catch to dismiss Dan Lawrence
Lancashire player Tim David has looked quite good this season in T20 Blast. His batting and fielding performances have brought vital contributions to the Lancashire cricket team.
Tim David went on to complete a spectacular catch in the recent quarter final game against Essex. As a result of that, Dan Lawrence was dismissed for 15 runs.
