Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel is one of the biggest names in the world of football. His Chelsea side won the Champions League in the 2020-21 season.
But after 16 months of winning the biggest Club trophy in Europe, he was fired by the new owners of Chelsea. Rumours suggested that they disagreed about the club’s future project.
At the time of his departure, he was keen to stay in London. As his children are studying at school in Surrey. However, Tuchel will have to leave the country because of the Visa problem.
Reports suggest if the opportunity to succeed Gareth Southgate comes, Tuchel will not say no to the role. However, Mauricio Pochettino is also on the list of England FA.
Visa Complications
The same report also suggests that Thomas Tuchel may return to Germany before this year’s end, due to his complicated visa situation. The former PSG manager is seeking clarity over his permit to stay in the UK after losing the Chelsea job in September.
According to the terms of Tuchel’s post-Brexit Governing Body Endorsement visa, the 49-year-old might only have 90 days to remain in England following his sack. This puts him to stay until early December.
According to several rumours, Thomas Tuchel has received several approaches from various clubs, which includes clubs from England and Spain. If he gets the grant for a new Visa in England, he may resume his work either for a club or the national team.
The possibility is that Southgate will lead England out in Qatar World Cup in November. Harry Kane and his men were able to reach the semi-finals of the 2018 Russia World Cup. They also had an excellent Euro 2020 experience by reaching the final.
