Vitality Blast 2021 LIVE: The T20 cricket is purely unpredictable without the shadow of any doubt. The shortest format has witnessed so many unbelievable fixtures over the years. However, there are certain fixtures that come with plenty of twists and turns.
The drama occurs when there are low-scoring encounters because chasing them is always tricky. The team that held their nerves and get into the groove are destined to come out on top.
The low-scoring fixtures are the ones that add more spice to the flavour. The mystery that these T20s bring to the table is something that nobody would have predicted at all.
The second quarter-final clash between Hampshire and Nottinghamshire lived up to the expectations. The fans of both teams had one heck of a roller coaster ride in the stands while rooting for their favourite teams.
Batting first, Hampshire posted a tricky total of 125/9 in their quota of 20 overs at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Nottinghamshire bowlers did their job successfully as they kept the opposition in check.
However, only half of their work was done. The bowlers made an easy job for their batsmen to chase down the target. But Nottingham literally threw wickets away and went on to lose the match.

Matthew Carter remained unbeaten on 23 off 13 balls including 3 sixes. He played a top knock but sadly ended up on the losing side. He couldn’t do much when the opposition took all the ten wickets.
Liam Dawson registered impressive bowling figures of 3/24 in his quota of 4 overs. He was named the Player of the Match for his bowling masterclass. “At the half time, we were below par. But to come out and perform was brilliant.
It has been stop and start personally. But the boys have played excellently. We were always behind the game. The wicket started to spin more as we bowled slower,” he said at the post-match presentation.
