Zlatan Ibrahimovic has issued the warning to Manchester United after their dismal run of draws at Old Trafford and in danger of not finishing the top 4.
The 35 years old Manchester United superstar has said that any contract extension with Man United will depend on the “vision of the club” as he does not want to waste time and wants to end his illustrious career on a high.
Manchester United have drawn 8 games at home this season which includes the likes of Hull City, Burnley, Stoke City, West Ham and West Brom. Their failure to win home games is eventually going to cost them their top 4 chances.
Ibrahimovic who has been in tremendous goalscoring form for United, having scored 35% of their total goals and won them the League Cup singlehandedly.
“Everything depends on what you want and what the club wants and what the vision of the club is because I said from day one that I didn’t come here to lose time,” Ibrahimovic told MUTV.
“I’m 35, a lot of things have to be settled. It’s not like I’m 20 and I have another five or 10 years. I probably have one, two or three years.”- He added.
“I came here to win. I have been winning but If you want to win bigger you have to create bigger.”- Zlatan concluded.
The multiple times league winner at Ajax, Barcelona, Inter Milan, AC Milan and PSG is having reservations signing the new deal with 20 times English champions as he feels the club is for now not able to compete at the very top of English and European football.
“We are talking (about a contract extension). If we are far from each other or close to each other, there is no news. There are still talks so lets see what will happen. I’m open but there is nothing done yet.
“I came here with no Champions League and I came here with the team as it was. It was not a team that was favourites to win but I still came. I came to help.
“I came to do what I’m able to do, I came to make it better. To bring the team to higher views. Let’s see what happens.”
Jose Mourinho now has a job in hand to take United out of this swamp, get back to winning ways and convince United’s top scorer to sign a new deal with the club.
