In the latest Arsenal transfer news, Roy Keane believes the Gunners should sign a new striker to bolster their attacking department.
Arsenal have got off to a fantastic start in the Premier League in the current campaign. They remain one of the only two teams who remain unbeaten in the English top-flight so far this season. Arsenal, who finished second last season, will be aiming for a better finish this season.
Despite Arsenal’s good start, some have urged them to add a new striker to the squad. Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are their current options for the centre-forward role but neither players are scoring as many goals as they should be.
In the latest transfer news, Arsenal continues to be linked with a number of names ahead of the January transfer window of 2024. Ivan Toney is one of those, and Ian Wright seems to suggest Arsenal should go for the Brentford striker.

Arsenal transfer news: Roy Keane says Gunners can win EPL but would need a new striker
In the latest Arsenal news, speaking on the Stick to Football show, Ian Wright said: “We (Arsenal) spread goals out last season and it took us to a certain place. I think with Toney the links won’t go away as it’s blatantly obvious to see, that focal point, that player, that takes you somewhere else.“
Roy Keane is also of the opinion Arsenal should sign a striker. He said: “Arsenal can win the league, but they would need that striker. It’s great when you’re watching a team that can play. That is good in possession, but also physically strong. We’ve seen City over the last few years, they’ve got bigger – obviously set pieces are huge.
“We’ve seen lads this season come off the bench for Arsenal, they are big, strong, physical players who can get you over the line in tight games.”

It remains to be seen if Arsenal will sign a striker in the January transfer window or wait until the summer.
Apart from Ivan Toney, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen have also been linked with Arsenal.
However, all the aforementioned three players would not come on the cheap. And it remains to be seen if they would be out of Arsenal’s price range.
