In the latest Barcelona injury update, Vitor Roque, who is set to join the Catalan outfit in 2024, could be back in action for Athletico Paranaense as early as November, according to the player’s agent.
Barcelona announced in July this year that they and Club Athletico Paranaense have reached an agreement for the transfer of Vitor Roque. The now 18-year-old was initially expected to join Barcelona for the 24/25 campaign.
However, he is now set to join Barcelona in January, earlier than initially planned. This has been confirmed by Vitor Roque’s agent, André Cury.
Vitor Roque is currently out of action after suffering an injury in September. But André Cury revealed that the player could recover from the injury and be back on the pitch in November.

In the latest FC Barcelona injury update, André Cury said [via Barca Blaugranes]: “There was talk of three months of injury but we believe that in two months or even a little sooner he could be back.
“It is an ankle ligament injury, but the doctor explained to us that there would be no problem beyond needing rest to return well.“
He added: “[He] will be playing for Barça in January. We are even hoping to play again on November 10 or 15 in the Brazilian championship to help his team be in the next Copa Libertadores.“

André Cury also said Vitor Roque is prepared to arrive at Barcelona and also compared the youngster to footballing legend Ronaldo Nazario.
“Roque is very prepared to arrive at Barça, in a very powerful way and do what Xavi asks of him. I know he has spoken with him, but I don’t know what,” André Cury said.
“I do know that Barça is going to happily pay the millions because Roque is going to fulfill everything.
“Vitor has a bit of the power and movements of Ronaldo Nazario, he fights for all the balls, he is very competitive, he helps the defense but the best is his way with goals. His mentality is very strong and that’s why I say that if he comes on a Friday, he could play the same Sunday.“
